January - April 2014

Daddy and Katie make a snowman together every year.

Chris took me out for my birthday.  We saw a movie called The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, which we loved.  And then he took me to Tucanos for dinner.  I got to have a second birthday dinner a week later at one of my favorite restaurants, Red Robin.  I also got movie tickets from my Dad and Mom and we saved those for the movie I really wanted to see which came out later, Maleficent.

Here I am dressed as Emma Smith for our church ward's Relief Society Birthday dinner.  Many of the sisters dressed as some of the first women  who were in the Relief Society when it was first organized.  We read parts that helped the sisters get to know these wonderful ladies.

Here's a picture of Katie and some of my daycare kids at the time, along with some of their siblings, playing with Play-doh.  They had a blast!

We had a family birthday party for all of the March birthdays (who were in town) at my Grandparent's house.

Grandma Lynn, Katie, Nephi, Me, and Blake.

Katie really wanted a scooter and she finally got one for her birthday.

She also really wanted an American Girl doll.  We found the Wal-Mart version (for much cheaper).

She loves her!

She also got a Barbie Lego set.

And camping and sports gear for her doll.
Katie had an all girl Birthday party.  She choose to have donuts so she could take cupcakes to her school class this year.  They played outside and watched a Barbie movie.  And had a lot of fun!

Our friend Kimber from across the street brought over a present for Katie.  Jewelry and chapstick!

Daddy and Katie right before Katie's baptism.

The whole family.

Katie got her very own scriptures from us and a beautifully embroidered bath towel from her Primary teacher.

Katie in her pretty white baptism dress.

Love this picture!

Mommy and Katie

With Grandpa Art and Grandma Lynn.

Being silly with her 2 cousins Nikki and Livvie (all in their white dresses).

We had a huge brunch at our house after the baptism.  I didn't get any pictures from it.  We had the most people we've ever had in our house at one time.  We really appreciated everyone that came to the baptism and brunch.  We appreciated all of the love and support shown from our family and friends!

One of Katie's presents was getting her ears pierced.  She was so excited!

And nervous!

Two at a time.

Love these expressions!

All smiles now!

She bought a diary and a Hello Kitty purse with her birthday money from Grandpa Art and Grandma Lynn.
She got these from Grandpa Tony and Grandma LaVerne.  She keeps her earrings in the little purse.  This picture was taken right before we left to go to the Women's Conference that was being broadcast at the church, which was the very first conference where all girls age eight and up could go.  Perfect timing since she just turned eight!

We made cupcakes for Katie's school class.

Daddy taking the cupcakes to school.

Here is Katie with her basket from the Easter bunny.  She was sick so she had to miss out on the Easter dinner and egg hunt at Grandpa Tony and Grandma LaVerne's house.  She stayed at home with Daddy.  Grandpa hunted eggs for her and I brought her home a basket of eggs.
