Birthday Fun

We celebrated Tamara's and Katie's birthdays this month. For Tamara's birthday we had a party at Primos (all you can eat pizza). It was great! Then we watched a movie at Grandma's house called Australia. It was really good. The next week Chris took Tamara to a movie called Race to Witch Mountain. We went with Dad and Mom Norton (Tony and LaVerne). It was a great movie! But I still love the original Escape to Witch Mountain best. It's a classic! One of my favorites! Then we had a combined birthday party for Nephi, Grandma and Katelynn. Krista and Nephi were so generous to share their cakes with Katelynn and Grandma. She made an Elmo cake and another cake that we put candles and figurines on - of Strawberry Shortcake, Winnie the Pooh and tools! (I was actually considering doing an Elmo cake for Katelynn anyway, so it worked out perfect!) Krista did a fantastic job on the Elmo cake. Here's a picture:

The birthday group.
(Blake and Alex also had birthdays this month - but they had separate parties. Blake turned 8 years old and got some cool baseball equipment and new shoes. Alex had a Spiderman themed party - very cool Spiderman cake too - see the link to Stillman and Michelle's blog to see pictures of his party).

MMMM! The cake was delish!

Here's Nephi, Colby and Chris. Nephi has his new baseball glove. Pretty cool!

Here's Katie's favorite present, a new dollhouse with accessories. We got a terrific deal on it at Other Mothers and it's in great shape. All the kids loved playing with it. Katie is always playing Mommy, Daddy and Baby with anything - for example: a big brush, a big comb and a little brush (Daddy, Mommy and baby), etc. It's cute. So we thought it would be a good idea to get her Daddy, Mommy and kid/baby dolls to play with. And this was perfect!

Yes, all the parties gave me something to look forward to and keep me busy. Helps the time I'm without Curtis fly.

That dollhouse totally rocks!!! I thought it was cute how ALL the littler (and some bigger!) kids wanted to play with it - what a great find! :-)

So glad we could combine some birthdays - it was such a fun time!!! :-)

Sorry we missed all the festivities! Happy b-day to all the little ones! I am headed into my April madness with Scott, Mostyn, and Scotlyn's birthdays, as well as our 5 yr anniversary and Mostyn's baptism. Wow, I'm tired and broke just thinkin' about it!
